theROOT.com is an online publication dedicated to the black experience and was the brain child of author, Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr.
CNN Special Correspondent Soledad O’Brien will host the 2nd installment of the somewhat controversial series “Black in America” which aired last summer 2008 to mixed reviews. In light of the outpouring of support and divergent points of view surrounding the 1st installment, CNN decided to make “Black in America 2″.
In the second installment, CNN continues its investigation of the most challenging issues facing African-Americans with “Black in America 2.” Soledad O’Brien reports on people who are using ground-breaking solutions to transform the black experience. PI congratulates CNN and we enthusiastically support its efforts to bring the Black American experience further to light.
